Associate/Principal Structural Engineer

Our client are currently looking for a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer, or Associate level, to join their growing team.  With over 25 years experience in the process, manufacturing & energy industries this is a great opportunity to join a team of industry leading experts.  

Our client offers a complete design and consultancy service, developing solutions from concept through to detailed design.

The successful candidate will:

• Enjoy the challenge of engineering design and delivery of a range of civil and / or structural projects from concept to detailed design
• Be able to take ownership of project delivery  regarding:
  • Client liaison & Key Account Management
  • Commercial management
  • Risk management
• Lead tenders and bid in collaboration with Associates and Directors.
• Understand the development needs of team members and inspire them to perform at their best
• Enjoy working collaboratively to problem-solve and create innovative engineering solutions
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills

The following experience and qualifications would be expected:

• You will be BEng, MEng or MSc qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• You will be a chartered (CEng) Civil / Structural Engineer with a proven track record of delivering projects within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Provide technical leadership within your area of civil / structural expertise
• You will be experienced in the financial and commercial management of projects and third-party sub-contractor/consultants.
• You will be experienced in design risk management and mitigation

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of working in hazardous environments on projects ranging from £5M to £15M.
• Previous experience of managing a small team of engineers and technicians.
