GM Global Recruitment are currently looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer for a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy involved in projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
They key tasks in this role include:
- Arranging and Coordinating soil and mineral Site Investigations
- Preparing Stage I desk top reports and assisting in the preparation of Stage II interpretive reports with recommendations for foundations, contamination remediation and soil gas protection.
- Prepare reports and desk top studies for mining stability.
- Inspecting and Approving remediation works on site during construction.
- Assist in the preparation of Voluntary Action Remediation Statements (VARS) in support of planning submissions to the local authority.
- Assist in the preparation of specifications and designs for ground engineering, environmental remediation and mining consolidation works.
- Validate and assist in the preparation of final reports for ground engineering, environmental remediation and mining consolidation works.
- Specify and co-ordinate Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) testing and the classify soils for removal from site.
- To assist in or prepare and/or check design calculations and/or specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earthworks etc. and ensure the requirements for overall performance are met.
- To check subcontractors method statements for compliance with Project Drawings and Specifications.
